| This virus is a file infector that searches for .exe files on the compromised computer and prepends itself to the host file.
The virus does not check if the host file is really a Windows executable, but only checks whether the extension is .exe. In rare cases it could happen that the file is actually a data file. On occasion, the virus may corrupt the original host file during the infection process. If this should happen, even if the virus is removed, the host file will remain in a corrupted state and therefore will not be able to run. |
