Technical Details:

When executed, the virus copies itself as the following file:
%Temp%\gb+[RANDOM NUMBER]\syshost.exe

It also creates the following files:

* %Temp%\gb+[RANDOM NUMBER]\tmpgb.exe
* %Temp%\gb+[RANDOM NUMBER]\goodby.dat
* %Windir%\directx9d.ini

Next, the virus searches for .exe files in order to infect them but excludes any paths that contain the following words:

* nrestore
* Symantec
* windows

It also excludes any folders with the following names:

* Documents and Settings
* Recycler
* System Volume Information

It also excludes the following folders:

* %ProgramFiles%
* %Windir%

The virus then adds random data to the beginning of files with the following file extensions, which may render them unusable:

* .cdr
* .cdx
* .db
* .doc
* .dwg
* .gdb
* .md
* .ppt
* .ps
* .tab
* .vs
* .wor
* .xls
